Well, I'm back from the dead.
Right now I'm sick with the flu ( blah! ) and there isn't much I feel like doing besides watching TV or being on the computer. No good TV and I'm really trying to stay away from online shopping ( Craig's List to be more exact. Gosh, I love that website! ), so what is there left to do? You got it: Xanga! So sad. I hope all of you who are out there who actually get on here are doing well.
We've been up to quite a bit since the last time I've been on here- I think it was like 4 or so months ago- but I'm not going to even try to tell it all. It would probably put you to sleep. We had a great holiday season. For Christmas we had dinner with Chris' family, then the next morning we went up to Oklahoma to see my extended family who I hadn't seen for years. It was a lot of fun; almost like old times. I was so scared the 8 hour drive would be h-e-double hockey sticks with two little kids, but they were awesome. Even on the trip back to Mom and Dad's in the middle of the night was fine. ( We won't go there, but it has something to do with a guy named Brazos Webb.....
) We spent Christmas Eve at my parent's then swung by and saw Sam and Steve on our way home. After all that traveling, we had a wonderful Christmas day here at home doing NOTHING. Bryan and one of his friends came over and we watched Pirates of the Carribean 3, but that was about it. BTW, that movie is loooonnngg and kind of boring.
2008 has been pretty good so far. My car was out of commission for about two weeks this month, so I was forced to stay home and do things I've been putting off. It's been good. Now that it's fixed we're all sick with the flu. Isn't that ironic....... Chris and Christen's flu has come and gone, but Cody and I aren't doing too wonderful. If you think of it pray for the little guy. He's been throwing up everything since this morning and I don't want him to get dehydrated. I hate seeing my sweet little babies sick. It's berry sad, in Christen's words.
That's the yuck stuff of this year, but something I'm really thankful about is our church. I so glad God led us there ( with the help of the Jennings!
) and we've met some really cool and awesome people. We joined a small community group and we've really come to love it. At first it seemed like we didn't have a whole lot in common and we were kind of bummed, but as time goes on it's neat to see how God can bond people who love Him and want to serve Him, even though we are so different. And besides, it's really good to get outside our little box and meet people who are different than us. We've really become good friends with one couple, Shaun and Andi and I thank God for that. It's so good to have friends to hang out and have fun with. Chris actually is excited and enthusiastic again ( me too! ) to go to church and worship. He really likes the Austin Stone. ( And besides great people, the messages are just mind blowing. It definately upsets a lot of what I've heard about "mainstream" churches....... )
Well, I've got to go check up on Christen and Cody. They've both been sleeping for about three hours ( I actually got a TWO HOUR nap in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That makes me so happy. ). You all have a great week and I guess I'll talk again sometime.

( I guess I'll be forced to watch American Idol tonight. I can't even update on Xanga now! )
